This is the overview of the flying site looking straight down on the runway, the parking lot and the pits.  Notice the paved runway and the grass runway and the centerline between the two.  All high speed passes will be done East of that red centerline and not over the paved runway or the pilots station.  Also notice that the red center line extends past the stock pond.  On cross wind days it is not allowed to turn to the runway over the land owners barn.  Please stay on the red center line until you cross the fence, then are on NDRCC Managed land.

2010 Field and Safety Rules PDF Print E-mail
Written by webmaster for the BOD

All,

In accordance with the AMA and in compliance with our Gold Club Leader status with that governing body.  The North Dallas RC Club is obligated once a year to update the safety rules for our flying site.  This year the NDRCC BOD has put forth the following new rules changes effective immediately.

During the drafting of the new 2010 Safety Rules it will become necessarry to re align the field in accordance with the new changes.  Please click on this link to view the new layout.  The BOD hopes to have a new aerial photo made so that everyone can see the limits and the boundaries that need to be avoided.

Please read the rules changes carefully and become familiar with them.  The NDRCC BOD wants all its members to fly safe, enjoy the facility and above all have fun.

Thanks

North Dallas RC Board of Directors.

Important meeting coming up in March with a vote on a potential dues increase.  Well the opening line was to get your attention and I hope we have a really good turnout for the March meeting. Many of you participated in the discussion at the February meeting and this is my attempt to succinctly summarize the upcoming vote. Our field maintenance officer is an appointed position and Bob Dane has been doing an outstanding job for the past several years. Bob submitted a proposal to the Board of Directors and after much discussion we brought it forward to the club for discussion at the last meeting. Bob points out that the field maintenance officer covers: mowing, maintaining field equipment and machinery, electrical system, electric fence, non-electrical fence, toilets, fertilizing and week control, road maintenance, runway maintenance, drinking water and support equipment, non potable water system, shed maintenance including electric and garage doors, pilot boxes, starting areas, starting tables, trash disposal, flood damage repair and other duties as needed.
