PRESIDENT’S REPORT -- Greg Pulcini:  Tonight we have a presentation by Dave Smith, a FAA retired representative, on his experiences through his long career in aviation. The NDRCC Float Fly is April 29th at Willow Grove Park A Festival of Flight at Prestwick STEM Academy is also being held April 29 late in the day (after the float fly). Volunteers to fly foamies or bring display aircraft are needed. Contact Patrick McNamara if you can help.  See Patrick McNamara’s report below for more detail.

VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT -- Patrick McNamara:   Patrick was absent but provided the report below: FAA Security Sensitive Flight Restrictions: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has established airspace restrictions over 133 military facilities to address national security concerns about unauthorized drone operations. The specific restricted locations are detailed in a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) – UAS NOTAM FDC 7/7137.  The only impact to the DFW area is around NAS JRB Ft Worth. 3rd Annual Festival of Flight As noted in messages to The Club, NDRCC was invited to participate in the 3rd Annual Festival of Flight, presented jointly by the city of The Colony Parks a Recreation and The Tribute, Lakeside Golf and Resort Community.  The event is being held at Prestwick STEM Academy in The Colony.  Charlie Viosca met with the event coordinator, Mary Day to discuss the event, our participation, and details such area for static display, location of a "runway" for flight demo's, etc.  The meeting was quite pleasant and both Mary, and TC Parks and Rec are more than willing to work with us.  They agreed to modify the traffic flow to open up an area to use as a runway.  The event is from 4PM-8PM on Saturday, April 29th.  This is the same day as our club float-fly.  Even so, there has been sufficient response from club members to move with participation at least for static display.  Demo flights will be limited to park-flier sized aircraft, probably 50" or less, due to the available runway and overflight area.  Charlie and I made it clear that demo flights would be highly contingent on weather conditions -- wind speed and direction, mainly.  I will be sending out another message to the club regarding the event and will be directly contacting those who expressed willingness to participate to confirm.  If anyone has questions, please feel free to contact myself (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and/or Charlie Viosca (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).
