The April meeting of the North Dallas RC Club occurred on April 24, 2019 at the Frisco Public Library.
President Dave Schaefer called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
A motion was made, and seconded, to approve March meeting minutes as published. Approval passed
unanimously, by voice vote.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT — Dave Schaefer:
Dave described an F-82 that he came across at Sun-In-Fun in Florida while he was working. The F-82
looks like a twin P-51 but is actually a unique airplane that has little in common with the P-51. It was
developed toward the end of WWII with the range to escort B-29s.
A number of kits, ARFs and engines have been donated by two previous members to benefit the club.
Dave has organized the kits and Art Wagner has put his magic on the OS engines. There are a couple of 60 size pattern ARFs and some Bud Nosen builder stick kits.See the previous club wide emails on these and the donation requested.

Billy Slater gave the report Dave generated as the financial condition as of the end of March.
Highlights were that 2019 Lease and Taxes were paid. CNA insurance against officer financial fraud and usual porta potty, utilities were paid. No other notable activity.
A motion was made, and seconded, to approve March financial report as presented. Approval passed
unanimously, by voice vote.
MEMBERSHIP REPORT – Bruce Lakatos:
Bruce reports 148 members as of the date of the meeting.
FIELD REPORT — Rodney Mcentire:
Field is freshly mowed thanks to Art Wagner, Dale O’daniel and Charles Schafer.
SAFETY REPORT — Charles Schafer:
Charles reported that new signs have been added reminding us to fly east of the runway. This runway
line extends from horizon to horizon. No flying over the landlords house which well west of the north-south runway line. These signs also mark the position of the pilot boxes.

The June quarterly prize is a 4-port Hitec charger.
The September quarterly prize will be a airbrush setup complete with compressor.
CD REPORTS and EVENTS:
Charles Schafer noted that our float fly will be held May 4th at Lake Dallas. Fee is $20 and includes
War Birds Over Texas (WBOT) will be held June 7 & 8. Charles Schafer needs volunteers so sign up.
Donations for the raffle are also needed. A review of financials of WBOT 2018 was given showing that this event is the leading dollar generator for the club. Dave Schaefer stated that expenses for WBOT 2019 be kept in line with WBOT 2018. Members of the Monroe, Houston clubs as well as FW
Thunderbirds will attend.
Dave Schafer discussed the Scout event and problems finding a Scout group that was interested. He
proposed and will look into we holding a similar event for adults with special needs and autistic
A vote was held on the proposed bylaw changes. These proposed changes have been posted on the
NDRCC web site during March.
Vote on the proposed change to bylaw section 5.05 as posted. Vote was approval by unanimous hand
Vote on the proposed addition of bylaw sections 6.05, 6.06 and 6.07 as posted. A typo in 6.05 was
pointed out so the vote was made contingent on the correction of this typo. The typo was changing “it
may not be used improvements” to “it may not be used for improvements” in the last
sentence of 6.05 . Vote was approval by unanimous hand vote.
Vote on the proposed changes to Section 14.02 as posted. Vote was approval by unanimous hand vote.
