The Feburary meeting of the North Dallas RC Club occurred on February 26, 2020 at the Frisco Public Library. Vice President Josh Kleen called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM in Dave Schaefer’s absence.
A motion was made, and seconded, to approve January meeting minutes as published. Approval passed unanimously, by voice vote.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT — Dave Schaefer:
Josh Kleen acted in Dave’s absence.
Josh emphasized the need to comment to the FAA about their proposed new rules governing aspects of our operation of models. You should comment on the negative effects that these new restrictions will
have on you, your investment in the hobby and other negative consequences. Information on how to contact and guidelines can be found on the AMA and other sites.
VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT — Josh Kleen:
We are having difficulty reserving this meeting room at the Frisco Library. The March meeting will be held at Josh’s workplace , 15303 Dallas Pkwy #600, Addison, TX 75001, on Wednesday, March
18th. If you know of a possible meeting room that can be used please contact Josh.

Dave reported the financial condition as of the end of January 2020 .
A motion was made, and seconded, to approve January financial report as presented by Dave.
MEMBERSHIP REPORT – Bruce Lakatos:
Bruce reports 143 members as of the date of the meeting.
FIELD REPORT — Rodney Mcentire:
Rodney was not present.
Charles Schafer reported that the grass runway was mowed recently and the Toro mower is in need of
SAFETY REPORT — Charles Schafer:
Charles reports that no safety incidents have been reported.
Charles reports that flying west of the runway is still occurring. Remember that no flying west of the runway is a horizon to horizon restriction.
Also be careful of the herd of buffalo in the field south of the entrance. If you need to retrieve a plane go in your automobile and take a friend. Buffalo are more aggressive than cattle and can reportedly run at speeds of 45 mph.
SOUND REPORT – Billy Slater:
Billy Slater brought up a possible curfew on gas and glow powered models. Discussion both pro and con took place.
Billy also described a new sound study that has been started. The purpose of this study is to determine if our current sound level restrictions are adequate. Also to document this to provide backup in case of future complaints.
TRAINING – Rich Phillips:
Rich was not present.
RAFFLE — :
We are looking for a new raffle coordinator. If you are interested please contact Dave Schaefer or Josh Kleen.
CD REPORTS and EVENTS:
Charles Schafer reports that the AeroTow will be Monday March 23rd.
