The March meeting of the North Dallas RC Club occurred on March 24 at the NDRCC flying field. Club
Vice President Patrick McNamara called the meeting to order at 12:05PM.
A motion was made, and seconded, to approve the January meeting minutes as published. Approval
passed unanimously, by voice vote. The February meeting was canceled due to bad weather.

The January meeting minutes have the rule changes that became effective this year.
TREASURER’S REPORT — Dave Cotton:
Dave presented a review of expenses and income from membership dues.
He has opened an additional CD, the last of the planned CDs.
Check for lease payment as gone to landlord and tax has been paid.
Dave has filed our IRS report for this year.
A motion was made, and seconded, to approve financial report as presented. Approval passed
unanimously, by voice vote.
MEMBERSHIP REPORT – Bruce Lakatos:

FIELD REPORT — Rodney Mcentire:
Be mindful and careful of ant beds. There are many this year.
Mowers are serviced and ready for this season.
SAFETY REPORT — Gerry Bishop:
Updated rules that take effect this year are posted.
If you see a safety hazard, say something.

Dale O’Dainel reported that we have several students in training.
RAFFLE — Olga Lawson-Andrews :
Quarterly prize will be awarded at the April meeting.
CD REPORTS and EVENTS:
Float Fly will be held April 28th with a bad weather date of July 28th.Landing fee will be $20.
Aero Tow scheduled for March 26th was canceled based on the weather perdiction.
Student day is currently scheduled for April 14th. We need more contacts for youth groups, Let Charles
Shafer know if you have potential groups.
Festival of Flight is scheduled for April 28th. Let Patrick know if you have interest in participating.
Ed Kettler presented budget results for Warbirds over Texas for 2017. 50 pilots entered and the net
result was a $2358 contribution to the club budget.
Ed presented the proposed budget for Warbirds over Texas 2018. A motion was made, and seconded,
to approve the WOT 2018 budget as presented by Ed. Approval passed unanimously, by voice vote.
WOB 2018 entry fee will be $35 on Friday and $25 on Saturday. Fee will include noon meal for pilot.
