The September 2022 meeting of the North Dallas RC Club occurred on September 21st at the Prosper
Town Hall. President Josh Kleen called the meeting to order at 6:32 PM.
A motion was made, and seconded, to approve the August meeting minutes as published. Approval
passed unanimously, by voice vote.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT — Josh Kleen:
Thanks to the rain alleviating the dry grass we are once againing flying turbines.
Officer elections are coming up and several positions are coming open. See Josh if you are interested.

TREASURER’S REPORT — Art Wagner:
Art reported the financial condition as of the end of August.
A motion was made, and seconded, to approve the financial as presented by Art. Approval passed
unanimously, by voice vote.
MEMBERSHIP REPORT – Bruce Lakatos:
Bruce reports 145 members as of the date of the meeting.
FIELD REPORT — Rex Lawerance:
Rex reports that the field looks good thanks to the recent rains. Mowing is planned for later this week.
SAFETY REPORT — Charles Schafer:
No reported safety incidents.
Two crashes have happened recently with suspected RF inference the cause.

CD REPORTS and EVENTS:
Float Fly will be held October 22 at Lake Dallas. A brisket lunch will be included in the landing fee.
WBOT will be held in October of 2023.
New members not getting information. Art Wagner suggested that this info may be going to spam. It
was agreed that this needs checking.
Josh reported that no update on remote ID to be required by the FAA. The FAA will likely not make its
deadline for issuing this update. The club will request extensions to the expected rules such as the 400
foot altitude that affects us.
After the meeting Art Wagner reported by email that the meeting room at Prosper Town Hall would not
be available for the October meeting.

Art Wagner showed pictures of an OS 61 that he had rebuilt. He also displayed photos of a pattern plane
and carbon fiber tuned pipe.
