The October 2020 meeting of the North Dallas RC Club was held on October 17, 2020 at a socially distanced Eagle Field and via ZOOM. Josh Kleen action for President Dave Schaefer called the meeting to order just after noon at 12:02PM.
A motion was made, and seconded, to approve September meeting minutes as published. Approval passed unanimously, by voice vote.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT — Dave Schaefer:
Dave was absent.
VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT — Josh Kleen:
AMA continues to work with the FAA on new rules affecting our activity. The FAA has submitted to OMB
proposed rules. The primary items affecting us are the 400 foot altitude cap and the remote ID requirements. The AMA website is a good place to find information on this subject.
SECRETARY’S REPORT — Billy Slater:
TREASURER’S REPORT — Dave Cotton:
Dave reported our financial condition as of the end of September.
A motion was made, and seconded, to approve the financial as presented by Dave. Approval passed unanimously, by voice vote.
Dave said that Square has replaced Paypal as NDRCC way of accepting payments.
MEMBERSHIP REPORT – Bruce Lakatos:
Bruce reports 169 members as of the date of the meeting. Bruce stated that this is the highest membership total in his tenure as Membership Chairman.
FIELD REPORT — Rodney Mcentire:
Rodney was not present.
Josh thanked all those who serve on the field maintenance crew.
Charles Schaefer said that the Toro mower was out of service and would be sent for repair over the winter to be ready for next year’s mowing season.
SAFETY REPORT — Charles Schafer:
No incidents reported.
Ed Acklin asked that the runway be cleared as quickly as possible and to remember to stay behind the barriers while on the flight line.
Another member reminded all that the sidewalk leading to the flight boxes is a “no taxi” area.

Planning is taking place for WBOT 2021 and the spring float fly.
A vote was held for the new sound rules presented in the September meeting and reported in the September meeting minutes. After a discussion period the new rules were approved by a majority vote as presented.
As discussion of our neighbor’s livestock and their treatment was held.
