The September meeting of the North Dallas RC Club occurred on September 25, 2019 at the Frisco Public Library. President Dave Schaefer called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
A motion was made, and seconded to approve the August meeting minutes as read during the
September meeting. Approval passed unanimously by voice vote.
VISITORS – None present
PRESIDENT’S REPORT — Dave Schaefer:
Dave thanked Patrick and others who filled in during his absence in previous meetings. He reminded
that to operate this organization it takes volunteers and money and he thanked those who take on these roles.
Dave attended a very large rocket event in Black Rock Nevada. Slides were shown of several of these
very large rockets being launched.
Dave presented slides showing overhead views of our field with development of residential areas
nearby. He implored all and especially large aircraft to stay close so as not to overfly these areas.
There was a discussion of the memorial bricks and alternate ways to honor members such as plaques.
There was no specific action taken.
A member is moving and has donated his RC equipment to the club. A BNF airplane from this collection was auctioned at the meeting.
VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT — Patrick McNamara:
The October meeting will be October 23th – the fourth Wednesday in October. The November meeting is currently scheduled for November 25th – a Monday. There was a discussion of reserving the room at the Frisco Library and possible alternatives.
SECRETARY’S REPORT — Billy Slater:

Billy Slater gave Dave’s report in his absence on the financial condition as of the end of August .
A motion was made, and seconded to approve the financial report as given during the September
meeting. Approval passed unanimously by voice vote.
MEMBERSHIP REPORT – Bruce Lakatos:
Bruce reports 157 members as of the date of the meeting.
FIELD REPORT — Rodney Mcentire:
Field was mowed last Thursday and the gate operator has been repaired. Thanks to Chares Schafer, Dale O’Daniel and others who made hs happen.
One mower failed and was taken in for repair. Both mowers are now out of warranty. Art Wagner has
repaired the weed eater.
SAFETY REPORT — Charles Schafer:
No incidents have been reported.
SOUND REPORT – Billy Slater:
With the residential developments nearby we may need to revisit our sound level limits.

The quarterly raffle prize of a complete airbrush setup was raffled along with other items during the
The quarterly raffle in December will be a Horizon F-16. Other items donated by members will be also
raffled in December.
CD REPORTS and EVENTS:
Charles Schafer reported that the October 5th Float Fly is on now that Corp of Engineers have granted
A November 9th Boy Scout event has invited us to participate with a demonstration. Charles Schafer
agreed to organize our particaipation. If you are interested please contact Charles.
